East Neuk is a holiday /vacation cottage available for rent in Findhorn, Morayshire.  It is a traditional, fisherman's cottage which was redesigned, renovated and extended in association with a local architect in 2012 to create a unique, contemporary, self catering, holiday home.  It has been renovated again in 2021. The cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms.   It is to be found in a very quiet location down a grassy 'stryplie' - one of the pedestrian lanes that make up the centre of the old village.  There is off-street parking at the cottage gate.  Cosy with a coal fire in the winter and doors that can be left open to the outside space in the summer, this is a cottage for all seasons.

Findhorn is a perfect holiday destination for couples and families. The Moray Firth is famous for its relatively mild climate which gives less rain and more sunshine hours than much of the rest of Scotland. Outdoor living beckons with the sandy, open,  beach stretching 5 miles to Burghead, the sheltered bay beyond the twin piers, the sandbars of the point where the seals lie, the Nature Reserve with its bird hide and the many cycling and walking paths in nearby Culbin forest.

The marina in the village is a vibrant centre from which you can access watersports including sailing, kayaking and windsurfing with rental and instruction available or you can simply enjoy an icecream or light meal at The Captain's Table whilst watching the fun. There is a water taxi that takes passengers accross the bay to Culbin forest in the summer. There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and childrens' playpark in the village.

The James Milne Institute hosts village events and the internationally reknowned Findhorn Foundation and eco village is less than a mile away. It has a well advertised programme of events many of which take place in the Universal Hall, which due to its size also features on the touring programme of many professional musicians and performers. There is also an arts centre, a well stocked, organic delicatessan and the Blue Angel cafe on site. Back in the village the Bakehouse serves excellent organic food and bread straight from the oven is sold from the back door first thing in the morning. The Village store and Post Office are next door. Findhorn has two well established pubs which both serve quality food in a family friendly environment. The Kimberley Inn and the Crown and Anchor are both only a couple of hundred yards from the cottage.

Come and enjoy what the cottage, the village and surrounding area have to offer.

Weekly rentals and short breaks available.
